Reception: On a warm day, it's nice to go out onto the terrace. You can go up the steps to the rose garden. From there you can go straight on, then round the hotel to the car park.

Customer: Yeah - it'd be good to go outside at lunch time. OK ... and what about toilets?

Reception: As you come out of the conference room, they're on the left.

Customer: That's fine. Now, i'd like to discuss meals, etcetera.

How to be a Waiter?  "Step by Step"

1) Approach your table with a smile and a greeting.

2) Take the order.

  • Give them a second to think about it. Check back again within five minutes with, 
  • "Are you enjoying everything?" 
  • Ask specifically about the host's dish: "How is your Steak?" 
  • Listen to their response and read their body language.
  • Resolve the problem and offer apologize.

4) Clear any of the plates from the current course as soon as it is obvious the customer wants them to be removed

A mind map is a diagram for representing tasks, words, concepts, or items linked to and arranged around a central concept or subject. 


First we created our mind map, then we showed it to ours classmates.


This technique is a very easy and fun way to organize your ideas.
